Music: Part of our life cycle.
Author: Dark Angel Shin Junichi
Let me ask you one simple question. Why do people listens to music? Is it for Entertainment? For pleasure? Relaxation? Well, all of the above I might say. It is believed that when a person listens to a song or two, they tend to relate those songs to their lives. Some people believe that it is a way to communicate with whoever it is listening. Any songs that the singers sang has it's own meaning hidden. I know some of you might think that music is words that are not even written by the singer. Not all of them are like that. Get my point?
Where's the communication?
Song writers create these tunes in their minds which is called the MELODY. These melodies goes through their brains over and over and over again until they reach the level where they put these melodies into WORDS. Together, it creates a thing called SONG. These songs are then written and recorded and are sent to the song editor to edit. After that, only reach to the singer. These cycles are then going over and over again until they made an album. But, in Human Communication form, this cycle is explained by the Transactional Communication Model where melodies and words are the messages and song editor are the feedback.
How does music have to do with communications?
Well, music connects to people. There's many genre for songs. Pop, rock, ballads, classical, hip hop, R&B and etc. Music eventually connects to people through moods. For example, when you're happy, you will listen to cheerful songs. If you're feeling down in the dumps, you definately hit the playlist in hoping to find a sad song. Most people listens to music when they feel that the environment around them has no noise or sounds. Also, when they are lonely. That is how the communication works between music and people.
Music expresses true meanings
Some of you might think that this is not true. There is a reason many people create such nice tunes for us to listen. Apart from money flowing into their pockets, music expresses how they feel. It's like when you step into the orchestra hall and you touched the grand piano in the center of the stage. You'll feel like "I could make this happen" and you did. When you laid your hands on the white and black keys of the piano, and played a song, everyone who is in that hall is actually feeling what you are feeling. It's is like non-verbal communication which includes body language, eye contacts and more.
And for that, I conclude that this post is written by:
